Susan's Background
Susan's professional background, Master's degree in Counseling, and experience helping hundreds of families enable her to help students comprehensively. In addition, having read thousands of applications as a UC Berkeley reader, she is confident in her ability to help you and your child answer the daunting question: "What are colleges looking for when choosing a freshman class?".

With her experience as a High School Counselor (both Academic and Crisis), Susan's empathic counseling skills allow her to get to know students on a personal level. Ultimately, assisting students through this self-discovery period helps guide them toward finding their unique college match while minimizing the stress that often comes with the process. Building this personal relationship also proves invaluable when it comes time to writing personal statements/college application essays.
Part of Susan's dedication to college advising is professional development. Each year, she actively tours college campuses (click to view a map of Susan's college tours) in order to help match students with a college that is right for them. In addition to the first-hand college knowledge, she attends conferences in order to stay up to date on the latest information in this ever-changing field. Susan is a member of the Western Association for College Admission Counseling (WACAC) and the Higher Education Consultants Association (HECA).
